Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I just want to thank Nasty for the awesome work, help and time you spent to help us. This is appreciated! :D I used your tutorial to model my Jetta, but I am getting some rough edges. Any ideas where I went wrong? ![]() ![]() ![]() Also in Brazil when I go to material editor I can't see the materials. Instead it says Brazil doesn't support Medit. But when I switch back to Default Scanline Render the materials appear. I can preview the material in library but not in the editor. Weird isn't it? Help me, please. :D |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi there VWMAN, and thx for the kind words. What you need to do with your model is to chamfer the edges that need to be more edgy. If you dont do this your model will suffer under the meshsmooth. Also remember to put 2 sided on your material. You can also chamder your vertex points if you need some more edgy edges... If you can posat a wireframe that would help me to see whats going on... Cheers... Last edited by Nasty; 05-25-2005 at 01:36 AM. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Video Tut Nasty, unfortunatly it has been years since I have taken a german language class and my knowledge of the language has failed. I have clicked the Download section for the video tutorials, but to my dismay I have not been able to locate the exact link. If it is at all possible, could you post a reply to this message with the direct links to the video tutorials? Thanks a bunch |

| Ub3r L337 DJ | I like the tutorial so far........I think I am up to page.......1? LOL. Ummm....I've done (badly though) up to the bit where I start to put the planes above the wheel arch. I'm a sure I have missed parts out though...........Even with the tutorials that came with Reference pack I missed things, either accidently or because it just wouldn't work for me. I was just wondering if you had any tutorials that went into a lot, or more, detail? I'm only just starting out in this 3D thing............I'd like to learn how to use this program to make cars mainly.........Just so I can go to school and say to my friends "Hey guys! Check this out!......Yeah. Cool huh? I designed and made it myself!" Even if it is just for the reactions of disbelief on their faces...... Thanks for helping out.......in advance........Not that I'm pressuring you.:buttrock:

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey, nice tutorial! I'm a highschool student taking a class in 3d Modeling. Our assignment was to choose a tutorial for a car, of course i chose the the RX8 :) We are using Autodesk VIZ 2006 and I'm stuck.... I cannot figure out how to add the blueprint materials to the plane. Could you please help me with a somewhat detailed lesson on how to do this? I'm still a n00b with VIZ so any feedback is appreciated. You even stumped my teacher with this one :p Thanks in advance, Travis |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | cant split the polygon. Plz help Ok, for 2 days now I cant seem to start the construction of the fender. I converted the plane to the editible poly or mesh and I can only do the vertex, not the edge. everytime I select the edge and drag, it just drags the whole plane together. Plz help..... |
