Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I only miss the page how to make some windows! buth nice video great tut gonna study it. @terkonn: Hold your horses it is simple! If you press on a sideview of the car then press your right mouse button to get the properties! (object prop.) then look at the following thing: "Show Frozen in Gray" untap it! and now if you freeze the pic it should not return grey!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | holy crap! You can call me a noob in 3ds max. I know the interface and where to find things, but is it the norm to work as fast as the guy in the videos? That kind of speed just blows me away. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | grrr sorry again, but I was able to show the blueprint in the perspective viewpoint, but none of the others will change. I applied the show material in viewpoint (in material editor), don't freeze in grey, and changed view to facets, all to no avail! Any more ideas? |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hi Terkon, did you get that with the planes to work? If you cant se them do the following: 1. right click where the name of the viewport is, choose Edge Faces 2. Go to your material editor and click on this icon ![]() 3. remember to do this to all your materials. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Cheers... :) |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | huh? I did everything everyone said and nothing worked. The strangest thing happened though, I changed my viewpoint to smooth and it worked. Is my comp screwed up or something? It never worked with facet view. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I think it could be something with your Graphic Card. At my work we have the same problem that you only can see the materials on the object in "Smooth and highlights". But looks like you´ve figured it out. Cheers... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The only problem im having is with the windows in the doors (just cant get the cutting right), the main front and rear windows and the lights. this is my first real attempt at any car tutorial and i thought i was doin good up until now :( I've attached a few renders of mine. and i know a couple things are different, but i like it so i kept them. ![]() Last edited by Reece; 11-16-2004 at 08:03 AM. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I guess its your mesh thats a bit off, could you take a "Screen dumb" with edge faces on so that I can se yor mesh with wires on. The thing is, your mesh goes a bit off when you apply your "Meshsmooth", to avoid this you need to chamfer some of your edges... Cheers... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Yeah, i think the main reason i cant get it to cut right is i just realised that i accidentally welded alot of the vertexes together in the door without even realising. so i'll try and chamfer some vertexes and see how i go. - Reece. :super: |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Amazing model nasty. One thing, what are the rendering specs for that picture of the back? Also if you can help us all out or can point us in the direction of a headlight modeling tut that'd be great, those lights look great. |
