When does the next part come?

I have problem with the material. How do macke a god material to the car or to any car in maya????

Ford Focus WRC Tutorial, Car Bumper defining Help !

Hey guys how are you?

I am working on the Ford Focus WRC Tutorial for Alias Wave Front Maya

Im up to definig the bumper i have made the splts now i am up to step 15/16

I really lose track at these to steps and dont know where to split anymore or what verterx i should move.

Could some one post a Screen shot on where i should split and what vertexs i should move to the this right.

Ford Focus WRC Tutorial, Extruding edeges and making wheel !

Hey,
Orite im doing the ford focurs tutorial, Im up to "Page 7" " Step 29"

it says : Now select the edges and extrude them. Scale them in and the extrude again then move them down.

Orite I went to Modify> Extrude. I got it right then i have no idea what he means by scale them in and extrude again.

Maybe some one could Shed some light on my problem

My next problem is the Wheel part.

Now revolve the surface (Surfaces > Revolve) in the X axis and you should have
something like this.

I have no idea what this means well i do when i do it it dont work can please some one tell me how do i do this because i have no idea what numbers or digites to put in can some one please take a screen shots of he revole option box and post it here.

Just wondering y are you not spliting the faces all the way through the geometry? cuz that way u dont create non planar faces.. just a thought ..be intrested in ur reply..

What Stryker is doing in those steps is refining the front bumper. He is using Split Polygon Tool (Edit Polygons > Split Polygon Tool) to splice or cut as you would say in 3ds max the polygons into halves. Thus adding Vertices.

Then he pulls the new vertices out a bit to create the bumper lines and detail.
