Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I was reading through the 3dsmax6 help files before I came across this sample scene. IIRC, you need to make sure you have Final Gather checked on, in the Indirect Illumination tab. EDIT - Came across the same render on my machine, make sure the environment map is properly set Last edited by Fireye; 03-07-2004 at 08:17 PM. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Actually if I just open the scene and render it, i get a dark image. Now, if I open the scene, open the material editor and browse the env map, and render the scene, i get the right image... |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | i have used brazil until i just recently got max6, now im trying to understand MR. i think brazil's hdri rendering is really great. and now i understand how to do the samething in MR. it might just be me but i still think brazil does it better... anyway when i try to do the blue material for the plates. the one with the fresnel falloff - raytrace maps thing. i copy the settings right off, but still it doesnt look like it should. my gets a white rim around the object. any ideas on this? martin |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Difference Hi dear strker This tutorial was very amazing for me.But i have 2 problems here with it. 1.I havn`t shinny speculars on my objects(specialy cup and dish) 2.I cann`t imagine the usage of MIN & MAX parameters on the Final Gather part. Should us to manipulate it handy?Or it has a rule? Thanks |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | cant import HDRI this is the great work ...and the result is so natural but the problem is i tried to do the same scene again in new file with the same cup and all stuff...but i cudnt import HDRI file into the material editor in a way that u did....plz guide me where im doin mistake....thanx |
