Removing background from images

I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching. http://www.deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw Clipping Path, Image Masking, Photoshop Masking, Image Clipping, Image Outlining in Photosho and www.ezyclipping.com -. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please?

ummmm.....all ye wanna do is remove the Blue Chrome Backgrnd???? try a compositing sftwr, fr example, Adobe After Effects.....it has tools to remove chrome backgnds, ye jus hv to pick the color, n switch on the option.....but jus make sure, dat the same Blue color is nt anywhr else on the important things in yer image...the tool blanks the color frm the whole scene......

if ye're doin it only frm Photoshop, den yea, take the selection tool, n start selecting the important parts ov the image, n put dem in alpha channels....which is frankly quite time consuming

If you uncheck 'Contiguous' when using the Magic Wand tool, you should be able to select all of the blue background in a single click. You can also adjust your tolerance to adjust the quality of the selection.

you can also make an action to select the color go to select-color range- choose you color then go to selct - grow, and edit it what ever you want with it. but you must not hv the chosen color at any other place.
