Open Season is Sony Pictures Animation's first 3D animated movie. The starter company has two additional animated films in its bag: Monster House, set for a 2006 release; and Surf's Up, set for a 2007 release.
Open Season is set to start opening worldwide as of 2006's September. It is directed by Roger Allers (director of The Lion King - greeeaat). The film has been penned by Steve Bencich and Ron Friendman, who also co-wrote Disney's Chicken Little and Brother Bear.
