McCall was a HUGE influence on my early interest in art and space. He was probably most recognized for his posters for 2001 and the huge mural in the National Air & Space Museum, among hundreds of book and magazine covers. He even did a lot of graphics directly for NASA, designing many mission patches for shuttle flights. He was also a production designer on Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Disney's The Black Hole.
