Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Forum: CG News Posted By: Buscat Post Time: 01-24-2012 at 05:09 AM Text: Young Choi is a Senior Character Artist at Sony Santa Monica. He's joined us here st CGWorkshops to share his years of experience creating 3D characters in Autodesk's Mudbox. Young's 3 week Mudbox online training CGWorkshop takes you through the process of creating a Frankenstein monster. Young covers the pros and cons of using Mudbox over similar products and gives a sculpting overview followed by discussions about different sculpting brushes, layers, stamp tools and stencils. He'll talk you through extracting maps from your sculpt, and move through texturing, painting, posing, rendering and lighting. The workshop is interactive, and you'll receive personal feedback from Young and your class mates within the closed CGWorkshop forum. This workshop has been developed as a companion to the CGSociety Mudbox Challenge , If you sign up for the challenge, you're entitled to a free 3 month Mudbox license from Autodesk. Please remember, however, that although Young can give you hints and tips on how to create great characters in Mudbox, he cannot help or advise you on your competition entry. Enrol now! Source |
