The Procedural Highlights of 2010 - Thank You for an Amazing Year!

Our license base grew four-fold and fantastic new customers came on board. We have won
several awards, and participated on exciting events and projects. Last but not least,
several successful partnerships complete an amazing year for Procedural!

December 31st is coming closer and it is time for us to look back and share some insights
of an awesome 2010:

1. The CityEngine community grows incredibly fast and we managed to quadruple our
   license base in 2010! Procedural modeling is finally becoming a mainstream technology
   and we are proud to be one of its drivers.
2. We could welcome fantastic new customers such as Pixar, Dreamworks, Prime Focus,
   Stargate Universe, Dassault Systemes, Raytheon, Fold7, URA Singapore, Grimshaw Architects, Weta Digital, and many more.
3. We released CityEngine 2010 (incl. two updates) with an amazing new level of
   interactivity, and introduced tailor-made versions such as CityEngine INDIE,
   CityEngine STUDIO, or CityEngine VUE.
4. We participated at numerous events and conferences such as Siggraph in Los Angeles,
   Autodesk University in Las Vegas, GDC in San Francisco, or FMX in Stuttgart. It’s
   certainly one of the highlights to personally meet CityEngine users all over the world,
   learn from their experience and chat about all things 3D.
5. We had the joy to work with many inspiring people from other companies. Highlights
   include our collaboration with ESRI and NVIDIA (presented in front of 12'000 people at
   the ESRI User Conference), our booth-sharing with the 3DConnexion team, or our
   partnership with e-on Software which resulted in the beloved CityEngine VUE.
6. We started to build up an international reseller network and established valuable
   partnerships with renowned resellers such as Escape Studios, Weltenbauer, or
   Storm FX. Many thanks to all our resellers for their enthusiasm and we appreciate
   their support!
7. Our company was honored with several awards such as the Red Herring Top 100 Global,
   a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures
   from around the world, or Monocle’s global“20-To-Watch”.

So, this has been a wild year for us here at Procedural with lots of highlights. But most
important, we deeply enjoy having such a creative, smart and innovative user base and it’s
our pleasure and honor to serve you! We are very grateful that we can benefit from your
valuable feedback and inputs, which continuously help us to improve CityEngine. We do not
take it for granted and we will give our best to code, innovate, and surprise even more in 2011.
