Nvidia Quadro Solutions Selected By Chinese Automotive Manufacturers

BEIJING, CHINA--NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the world leader in programmable graphic technologies, today announced that two of the leading automotive manufacturers in China -- Geely International Corporation and Great Wall Motor Company Limited -- are using NVIDIA Quadro® FX professional solutions.

Both Geely and Great Wall are using NVIDIA Quadro for product design and visualization.

Mr. Zhang Chunguang, head of the Information Center of Geely Auto Design and Research Institute, stated: “The value of NVIDIA Quadro is very clear. As we design a car, we can visualize it on the computer and do iterations before achieving the final look, feel, and functionality. This helps us to improve the quality of design.”

Mr. Wang Zhonghao, head of the Information Technology Department of Great Wall Motor’s Research Institute, added: “A big shift has happened in China’s auto industry. We are moving away from being imitators to becoming independent developers and designers. The devices, methods, and tools used in the past can not sufficiently address our growing needs. NVIDIA Quadro will be critical to us as we move forward. As a famous Chinese saying goes: A workman must first sharpen his tools if he is to do his work well.”
