Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Just as Avatar overtook Titanic to become the highest grossing film of all time, maybe it’s the year that Toy Story 3 overcomes the almighty Best Picture…As unlikely as it may seem to some, Toy Story 3 has the chance to join Pixar’s 10th in becoming only the second CG animated Best Picture Oscar nominee, and maybe Pixar’s first winner. At this point, what really matters is that Toy Story 3 lands in the category to begin with! The ad seen in this post is part of a series, "Not Since… [Insert Best Picture Winner Here]." It originally appeared in the December 13th issue of Variety. Other examples have been posted on the blog, referencing Best Picture winners such as Lord of the Rings and Shakespeare in Love.
