This one is an overview of 3d rotations, called The Rotation Problem. It's the first video that goes into that age old problemcalled gimbal lock. We'll have a follow up video that covers Euler and Gimbal in more detail. We've also opened up the contributor forum to the public and have a new menu section WIP (work in progress) so everyone can see what we're up to. ![]() Rotations in 3d are not easy to understand. This video examines some of the problems surrounding 3d rotations and briefly explains the two rotation types, Euler and Quaternion. Rotations are only a problem for animators. Euler rotations experience gimbal problems while quaternion rotations lack animation curves. Coming Soon Videos Euler Rotations Explained (and Gimbal Lock) Sub Division Surfaces Bump and Displacement Mapping Overview cheers Andrew Silke www.guerrillacg.org Source |
