Lightbulb LittleBigPlanet Suits Up with The Incredibles!

The Incredibles characters are back… sort of, but not for a sequel.

Sony and Media Molecule have partnered with Disney and Pixar to bring new content inspired by their films to the popular PlayStation 3 title "LittleBigPlanet"! Yup, that includes locales and super suits straight out of Brad Bird’s 2004 blockbuster!

So what exactly is LittleBigPlanet, you ask? The video game is described as a "unique platform adventure game with a huge social community, which enables players to, play, create and share with others." Basically, it’s an ever changing world with customisable characters that players themselves help create! Although a PS3 isn’t part of my household, I’ve only heard excellent things about this title.

The upcoming expansion pack based on The Incredibles features costumes inspired by Mr. Incredible (old and modern), Elastigirl (Mrs. Incredible suit), Dash, Violet, Jack-Jack, Edna Mode, Frozone, and Syndrome! This downloadable update will be available for $5.99 on April 8th, 2010. On the same date, a separate The Incredibles level kit ($4.99) will also debut including playable versions of Nomanisan Island, Edna’s home, and the Parr house among others.

For more details, including pictures of each Sack-boy costume and gameplay videos, check out SlashGamer’s article. Learn more about LittleBigPlanet at the game’s official site.

Do any of you play LittleBigPlanet? If so, what do you think about the game? Will you purchase these exciting expansion packs?
