EVENT: L.A. SIGGRAPH Presents, "The Haunted Mansion"

Please join Los Angeles ACM SIGGRAPH for our December meeting as Sony Pictures Imageworks presents their work on the Visual Effects of the Haunted Mansion. Come see the "behind the scenes" action on the Haunted Mansion is transformed from a Disneyland ride to a feature length motion picture. December 9, 2003 at 6:30 P.M.

6:30-7:30 p.m. Social Hour

Members will be given priority entrance from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Location
Bradley International Center
417 Charles E. Young Drive West on the UCLA Campus in Westwood at the intersection of Gayley and Strathmore Avenues
The meeting will be held on the upper level in Bradley Hall. Take the elevators to "UL".

Directions
>From the 405, exit at Wilshire Blvd., go EAST, turn left on Westwood Blvd. Continue North on Westwood Blvd. onto the UCLA Campus. Park in structure 8 ($7 per car) Follow the pedestrian signs up the hill to Bradley International Center.

Fees/Registration
The event is free to Los Angeles ACM SIGGRAPH members and $15 for non-members. New members that sign up on site and pay the $35 annual membership fee (checks or cash only) do not have to pay the $15 fee.

Jay Redd, Visual Effects Supervisor, "The Haunted Mansion"

Jacquie Barnbrook, VFX Producer "The Haunted Mansion" and Producer of the Academy Award Winning short "The Chubb Chubbs". He will talk about the producting aspects of both digital effects and animation.

David Stephens, Lead Effects Designer & Technical Director on "The Haunted Mansion". He will speak and show some "behind the scenes" and "the making of" for the film.
