Video game environment designer, concept artist and matte painter Simon Scales takes you through the art of creating polished, game-ready environments in this brand new 8 week online workshop .
Simon will start with the basics - setting up an effective workspace to create a professional workflow. He'll then move into idea and reference gathering, and how to quickly generate interesting compositions that form the basis of worlds. You'll look at how to create custom shapes and brushes that can help speed up the painting and design process.

The final few weeks will focus on lighting and colour before Simon helps you focus on your best piece for a final, portfolio ready matte painting. Starts January, enrolling now
