The IIPA simplified says that all open source tools like Blender and even operating systems like Linux are threatening the overall economy of the world. In reality open source provides access, generates new ideas/markets and influence our overall life. CGTalk is also providing open access to knowledge, but in the line of IIPA argumentation we all should be using official support hotlines (payed, of course) instead of such a open and inspiring forums... This is no political statement, it's an economical one, on how big, lobbying companies want to make money every way possible... I won't go further on that issue, but please let the thread open for the sake of "freedom of speech" and the overall openness of CGTalk. Source |
