Rep Power: 0  |  Brad Bird Leaves Animation Behind! In 2010, it was promised that I’d leave Annie Award posts behind, at least until ASIFA reformed its voting policy. Brad Bird has a way of changing minds— there was no way I’d pass up posting this next video. Skip to 4:30 to see Bird’s acceptance speech for the Winsor McCay Lifetime Achievement Award where he "announces" his departure from the animation industry… forever: Obviously, the video is all a joke and we’ll probably get to see another animated project from Bird eventually. But for now, are you excited to see his live-action work? As Brad noted in the video, he is currently shooting Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. P.S.
