3Dconnexion, a Logitech company, today announced that its SpaceNavigator™ 3D mouse is now supported by Nemetschek Allplan 2008, an object-oriented 3D design software for Building Information Modeling (BIM). The SpaceNavigator 3D mouse provides building design professionals greater efficiency by offering precise control and coordination of 3D models within Allplan.

With SpaceNavigator, architects and designers can better view and edit 2D drafts or 3D designs when creating virtual 3D building models, improving workflow and speeding up the design process. Unlike mice confined to motion on two flat planes, theSpaceNavigator 3D mouse allows effortless movement and control within the 3D workspace of Allplan. By simply moving the controller cap, a 3D CAD professional can simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate without stopping to select commands.An increase in pressure accelerates motion while a decrease in pressure slows motion for precise micro-adjustments.
