what can i do about these damn aggrivating directional movent arrows?

I'm working on a doom 3 character. I'm trying to adjust his hand so that it is at a default, between-open-and-fist position. it's becoming a real chore just trying to fix a thumb, especially since i know exactly how it should go, but the damn thing won't let me move it how i want. I'd really like to make it so that when i pressed a hot key, the axis snapped to the view. can i do that? or is there a more efficient solution?

Hi, you probably want a shortcut between view and local axis.
You have to bind everything to few keys, because its not a swtich between 2 coordinate systems, but few. So:
Customize>Customize User Interface>Keyboard>View Coordinate System (or Local c.s. or world c.s. ....)
for example CTR-1 view, ctr-2 local....
If you want to rotate bones intuitively, choose Local.

Hope i helped.
