| pov | vray or mental ray in 3ds max 2008? hi guys the first question is what is better in 3dsm2008 mentalray or vray? and second knows someone if the latest version of vray works on 3dsmax 2008,and if now there is a newer version? thnks

| SkoleSlasken ![]() | the newest version of v-ray should works on 3ds max 2008. you do as you would have done in max 9 i think. they are both really good renderers and i dont know if one of them fitts better on max2008 then the other. Mentalray is built inn so you are sure that that will work nice ;)

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I'm using Vray and it works really nice into max 2008, no complains. Mentel ray sowever can do really nice renders to, like minimus told u before Grts |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I think Mental Ray is better integrated with max, it comes with a very good shader. And now in Max 2008 the final gather is more stable and improved in performance a lot. I am not saying that vray is not good, but mental ray is build in. |
