| Hallowed Devil | hey Aly...well the splotches are quite a problem in Vray....so wat to do wid it??? nuthin, have patience n give a nice high quality render which'll ofcourse take more time but better results i generally use Irradiance Map in primary bounces n Light Cache in Secondary. Fr quite a good quality render, Irradiance Map can be set to high, n subdiv to 50 n Interpol. Samples to 20. In light-cache, Subdiv 1000 or abv, Samples 0.01 or less n number of Passes 6 or more. also in RQMC sampler, noise threshold to 0.001 Image Sampler to Adaptive QMC n Antialiasing Filter to Mitchel - Netravali hope tis solves the problem, if any more, plz dnt hesitate in askin :) Cheers!!!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey shashank..how u doing..i've been doing some renderings and the artifacts solution was great..thanks alot. Now i have a question do i need to change the render settings if i am rendering the interior too. As in when i render the exterior can i keep the same settings for the interior coz i have tried it but unfortunately its not giving a good result. Can you please advise. BTW i just rendered the exterior and i also changed the entire thing. [IMG] [/IMG] |

| Hallowed Devil | Hey Ali, this render looks nice to me! For interiors, you may have to change certain light settings, according to the brightness and stuff. Though i use similar Engines in exterior and interior, both; i.e. Irradiance Map for Primary Engine n Light Cache fr Secondary Engine. But the sampling may have to go more up, as interiors give much more spotches. Also, you may have to add extra lights frm windows or doors, wherever the light comes from. I do it with Vray Plane Light. Try the stuff out. And don't hesitate in sharing your renders, good or bad :) Cheers!!!
