VRay with 3Ds Max 2010

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a problem here. I used VRay 1.5 SP2 with 3Ds Max 9 on my office computer which has Windows XP 32-bit, 4GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and a NVidia 9800GT 1GB Graphics card. I used to get some really nice renders in very less render times in Max 9.

But to upgrade, as is also a requirement for my office, I'm trying to get renders in 3Ds Max 2010, Vray 1.5 and even with lesser settings it take 6-8 hours of time. This even happened with 3Ds Max 2009. The machine I'm trying these renders on, is a hi-end machine, with 8GB RAM, Intel i-5 Processor, and GeForce 9800GT 1GB card and shows improvement of only 1-2 hours in all :(

Can someone please guide me, if there's some settings we have to do in Vray to get good renders in no time???

Its li'l urgent :P
