Slight Problem.

I have a slight problem while trying to use the 3DS MAX program.. I don't know if it is that my graphics card is slightly off and cannot handle it or what have you.. Anyway, whenever I open up the program, I cannot see the viewport and instead see all the programs that were open before... frozen as they were in the viewport.

Anyone know the fix for this or at least the reason behind it..?
Thanks.
~if you need a screenshot/picture.. I can provide one.

maybe you just need to close all the other programs i had a similar problem on my laptop and that fixed it.

never had this problem, but only one solution comes to my mind.
try to change Customize>Prefernces>Viewports>Choose Driver
to some other driver (dx9 or oGL or other that you can)
