Rendering into .gif?

Is it possible to render into a gif file? I'm making a few logo's for a site I moderate for, and I would like to render them into .gif so I can show the site admin for concept ideas.
This would save me lots of time not going through youtube. You might be wondering why I don't do just a screen, and the reason is they are going to be animated in the end. So this would help a lot seeing I have lots of ideas to throw at him.

Thanks for your help!

The easy way if you want a picture without background, is save into .png (alpha channel marked).

Open it with PS en then save it into a .gif file

That should do it
