I created a mountain scene and i want to have the mountains a rock like texture and i want the plains to have a grass texture.. I have a picture of the scene and i drew a line to where i want the rock texture to be.

Well, u can create a texture with Photoshop using rock texture and grass texture.
U can also use the 3ds max's mtl "blend": create a rock mtl and a grass mtl, then use a alpha mask(example: white = grass, black = rock)
but u must apply a "UVW Mapping" or "UnrapUVW" modifier to the model.

Hey thanks Kyo for replying. I sorda found an answer my own way :). I used a mix mtl then used a a falloff (in the Mix slot ) with Perpendicular And Parallel, and Added a Point and added a new point to the curve, and set to be "Bezier-Smooth". I changed the curve until i got the correct position.
