problem with top view!!!

Hello, im new to 3DS MAX and i use version 8. I've been having this problem with two car tutorials already, the problem is that i have a "top view" blueprint aligned like this:


and when i assign the configured material to the object this is what happens



its like the image is rotated 90 degrees.

can someone help me please?? :idea2: :confused:

The image is rotated 90 degrees.. It's a fixable problem.

1. Open your Material Editor, and select the TopView-reference picture

2. Open the difuse-bitmap menu for that material.

3. In the right side, there is a little text "Angle" with three different letters beneeth it "U, V and W.

4. Just turn one of them to 90 (or maybe 270)... You'll figure out yourself wich one of the three letters is the right to change.

Try to do so...

Yeah, it can get really annoying if Max doesn't choose the right angle for the texture. Its rather easy to fix, but sometimes can be a real annoyance if it happens at the wrong time : p
