Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hey guys, i need some help if any one could. i know this is really basic stuff ![]() Can any one please explain to me how does the snap in 3DSMax work? for the life of me i cant get it to do what i want. I come from Maya so i will use that to describe what i would do there and maybe one of you will be able to tell me how i can get it done in 3ds. What i am trying to do is move the pivot to be on the same plane as the vertex, in maya i would select the pivot, activate snap, click on the X axis to lock it and then middle click on the vertex that i want to snap to. thank you in advance. | Forum Moderator ![]() | Ways to make snap easier is by right click on snap icon (magnet+3 icon) this will popup a window called 'Grid and Snap Settings'.you can snap from vertex, midpoint & others in there by just ticking on the radio button. On the option menu,if you tick use axis constraints..it will snap to any constraint vert example aligning 2 vertex on a straight line.if you off it..it will snap to any vertex or point available. *hope this help (gud luck) ![]() |
