Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Movie render problem Hi, my names Alex and sorry my first post is a problem. I am a univeristy student and Im trying to render one of my files into an AVI file onto my desktop. it is 1700 frames long and doesn't take too long to render but when the avi comes out, it says its on 5 seconds long despite playing after the slider has stopped in windows media player and the file is just under a gigabyte big. Also it is playing really slow and jerky and not properly at all, I've rendered other AVI files just fine before and didn't think i'd done anything different but obviously something is being affected here, any suggestions please? | Main Gallery Moderator ![]() | i don't know if this will solve your problem at all, but i usually will render my animations as .tiff image sequences and then go into after affects and import the image sequence into the timeline (when you import make sure u check the import tiff image sequence button) however the file is still kinda big sometimes, but i personally think the quality is better if you do it that way than strait to avi. most of the time |

| Forum Moderator ![]() | try changing the time configuration on the bottom right corner..choose time display and it will display the time of your animation in the working viewport.this help you estimate the animation timeline..or try to do a preview first before you render the avi.click animation>make preview. hope this helps |
