minimizing and maximizing

help.
when I minimize 3ds max 6, my computer is ok. I do something else, go on the internet. But as soon as I maximize it, the computer crashes. I get a blue screen up, it tell me a recently installed programme has been terminated, and that I should restart my computer.
3ds max 6 has been on my PC since October 2006. It also says something about RAM and holding F8 when the computer start's and going on to safe mode.
This wouldn't annoyed as much but every time this happens (twice, just started last week 24th april 2007) I lose all my fire fox favourites.

I dont really know why it happens but max is a really heavy program that need much from the computer, minimizing it and maximising it wile do other stuff will be hard for the computer and may crash the program if youre computer is to week.

sorry but i cant help you out on this, just try not minimizing the program and try with some more RAM on the computer.

I've got 1GB but I've got a lot of things running. E.g. I have this programme FlyakiteOSX and in short it makes your PC look a bit like a mac.
I think it could be that. thinking of installing it, but it's so beautiful.
I installed this programme called Mem Monster, it recovers ram. I think it's work, but I don't like trying things that could ruin my computer.
I'll tell you guys (how gay who writes 'guy' maybe say it but don't write it) if it does work.

perhaps it's the problem of harddisk, is it very old?

sometimes ur memory and handle 3ds max along with other operations
