| 3DSM newb | Mesh Cleanup and how to ... (''Wendigo'' Dagger) Hi guys, I've been modeling before, but had bugs/didn't know how to continue so I stopped for quite a long time... But I didn't think about asking other people for help, so that was my biggest mistake. I hope you can help :D, because I REALLY wanna do something with 3D, just love it. Here's what I mean: This is the render of the dagger as it is now: ![]() And here the issues: As you can see, the point of the blade is pretty messed up, I've always had problems with blades, this is the first time I've got something ''blade-like'': ![]() You can EDIT the picture to show me what you mean, I'd appreciate it. Any way to make it looks nice/go with the blade? 2nd: ![]() I'd like to make something like in the picture below. I don't know should I use ''MAKE PLANAR'' or just rearrange the vertices... HEEELP ![]() Cheers and thanx in advance ![]() Andi Jeesh man, is this the wrong category?! Anyway, I made a progress, somehow... The area around the top of the blade got cleared: ![]() (dunno wot's with me and the clrs :S) And here the.. new design (kinda): ![]() + render ![]() Last edited by Incognito; 11-25-2007 at 03:47 AM.. |

| 3DSM newb | Ty for the reply :), fortunately, I got my problems solved on another site (this one ain't that reliable -.-) So here's my latest version, still few things to fix though: -Tip of the blade -Rear face of the grip -Attachment to the rear -Smoothing Groups, texturing ![]() I made the dagger out of my head, drew a picture in school, sooo.. that'd be my reference image... Thx for the reply man, really appreciate it ![]() |
