| Making a 3D model out of my sketches Hey all... first of all just wana thank all the members and makers of this great site for all the stuff it has to offer... ive used 3D max but for basic stuff, and have some sort of idea about the tools... My friend does some great car sketches and would greatly appreciate if someone could link me to a tutorial which shows me as a beginner how to deal with using pics of the 3 views and making it into a 3d car model. thanks in advance. |

| Some help There are several free car tutorials out there. I prefer to work with poly's instead of nurbs, but i have seen cars built either way. If you are interested in using poly's I suggest the Mazda RX8 tutorial. It gives you a pretty good overview on how to model the outside of the car and some basic concepts. Links to it can be found on several sites. If you have any trouble finding it I can send you the files. Just send me a PM. |
