how to setup a network render?

hay guys well i got a laptop frm a friend for a couple of days so i thought trying out network rendering but the prob is i dnt knw hw to set it up . so i need ur help!

Ohohoh, i dont even know what a network render is!! Is it that one render is divided and redner on my pc online?? PLz if yes tha would be great, because i have one quite powerfull pc and one not so powerfull , but still good pc. Sso plz can you tell me waht it acctually is?

i think it is when you have each pc connected to the render farm would split the load of the render. i'm looking into something called Mental Ray Satellite now. if i discover anything good i'll let you know then.

heres how u do it for vray i guess

You must use VRAY only:
1. Go to Vray-Settings\System: check Distributed Rendering
2. Click Settings... then click Add Server: Enter your Computername (Hostname or IP-Address) then click Resolve Servers
3. Go to your 2nd. Computer. In Max folder, run the file: vrayspawner60.exe
Make sure that you have installed the same Plugins in both of computers.
Do so for the next if you have more
4. Render your scene.
