| Hallowed Devil | dats quite a work pal!! its nt dat easy, ye gotta record yer own motion capture first, as well as the details ov yer camera, den make a gun in 3Ds, n matching wid yer motion and the camera in the video, animate the gun, wid proper camera angle.....den render the gun animation as a video sequence, import tis video and yer own's video in a compositing sftwr and work out the rest on compositing wat else other than tis ye cn do is....record yer video in, say...side angle...den import it in compositing sftwr, nw seach fr a properly matching pic ov a gun wid side angle on the internet, import dat too in tis sftwr, and apply the tracking technique on the gun, wid respect to yer hands in the video.... btw, the motion capture, and camera importing takes very expensive devices, and is used only by proper studios... all the best :)

| 3dm3 moderator ![]() | As i've understood you, you want to attach 3dmodel (Gun) to your real video? It's not big trouble, make some stages. 1. create model - gun 2. make real video with you 3. make trakking from you video (I used to use Boujou) 4. After trakking in Boujou (very difficult word :)) make max's or maya's camera (do you make it in max?) 5. Import you max's camera (or max's script) in 3DSMAX 6. After that you can "put" gun in your hand very easer. You also can find and wath tutorial "Live action in CG" or gnomon's mathcmounving.
