| Registered User | Man, i tryied almost every kind of light with raytraced shadow on an everywhere it casted shadows on the groundthe only problem was when i tryied sun (mr sun, or ies sun) in scanline... this was the only time no shadows were casted, but when i rendered in MR all was good again. if you are using standard light try to check Hair Light Attr. if nothing works try this... start or reset max, create sphere, apply hair and fur modifieir (do nothing to it), create plane, create standard light and turn shadow on (RT or SM does not matter), go to perspective view and render if no shadows will be cast from fur... problem is probably somewhere else than in you making it wrong way...
