Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Help with displacement I need some help with displacement in max 9. when you use displacement on a normal box , the edges of the box detach ,as shown i n the uploaded picture .Is there anything i can do so the edges stay attached to each other?

| Registered User | first make sure you have enough lenght , hight , width segs for the displacement to take effect then make sure that you had collapsed the box to a edit poly/mesh !

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Hey it didn't happen to me, i try both the displace modifier and displacement in m-editor nothing like above happen. Even with 1x1x1 segments and without converting it to e-poly, it didn't happen at all. Make sure when u convert the box to e-poly all vertecies at the edges are welded togather. |
