Exclamation Can’t select vertices except the new I made in 3ds max 2009

I’m still green on 3ds max 2009 … when I tried to model in it sometimes I can’t select anything of the editable poly except the new vertices I made by “Cut”...
See the picture and tells me why I can’t select the other vertices …

It’s a very strange problem I never encountered before in 3ds max 9
And thank you for your cooperation

i can see the image now. wow it looks strange. i have no clue what that can be. and since it is the same model, you could have exedently lockt or frozen the object. if not 2009 have a new future that alowes you to freez verts ^^ hehe that would have bin silly.

Lightbulb A member of autodesk told me the solution

A member from Autodesk told the the answer... yes there's a new feature in 2009 which you can hide some vertices from being edited ... here's what he said
Quote:
Looks to me like they are hidden, which is why you can’t select them. Go into Vertex SubObject mode, scroll down to the bottom of the Edit Geometry Rollout and click “UnHide All”.
If that doesn’t help you’ll have to post the scene (zipped) so someone can take a closer look.

hide selected/unhide all/hide unselected isn't a new feature from autodesk 2009. it's a basic feature from edit poly mode/vertex/edit geometry for a while. :)
