Backward compatibility of MAX 9

Hi everybody,

I would like to know about the backward compatibility of MAX9. What will be lost if a scene\object is created, modified, textured etc.... in Max9. And the final of that same scene\object is exported from MAX8.

Reasoning: The critical plugins that I need to use are only compatible with MAX8. But the PC's I will have access to for modeling etc.... are version 9.

Thanks for you help.

To overcome such thing, simply export the scene/object to a *.3ds or *.obj file, and import it in MaX8. u have to re-texture the objects and maybe re-lit the scene. Any other way(if there is) i don't know.
So give it a try and let me know.
