(3dsmax9) May sound very noobish but

How do you make a box into this, as shown in the diagram

Sounds really easy, but I just can't figure out how to do it.
Add to that that I have a little particle in my eye and you've got perfect disaster
I just need to know how to make curves in box objects, but any help'll do.

Thanks in advance anyways,
Carlo

make a spline object that is the shape of the top of the box. make sure there are no holes in the spline and weld if needed. then turn the box into an editable poly, extrude the the single polygon, cap the remaining border using the sub-object "border" selection under editable poly, then using it's "cap" tool. then you should have it! hope this helps!

Em idk but isnt it easier to make a spline like the top of the box you need and then just extrude it?
