Hi all,

good to be back,

Ive reacently upgraded to a new shiney desktop but
sadly 3dsmax 7.1 doesnt like vista at all.

maybe its me.

Basicly the screen/viewports flicker and act real weird when i pan,zoom and rotate.
I have the 32bitVISTA so techincally there should be no problems.

Can anyone lend a hand?

My specs as follows:

Core2duo 3.2ghz
Nvidia GEforce 8800GTS - DX10 + shader4.0
gigabyte GA EDS3L mobo
2gb CORSAIR 800 DDR2 RAM

I can provide more i need be,

I suspect i need to get Max2008 as i tried the trial and it runs superbly better and handles the multi threading and hipoly meshes lots better but that will mean maxi big cash to get it for me, especially since this is just a hobby at the moment.

Go to customize/ preferences/ viewports/ and choose your setting to direct 3d. This may solve the problem.
