3d max8 and quicktime

Hi to all, the thing is that I want to put out an animation made in max8 as mov. file, and when I try to see it in Quicktime it doesn,t move or goes jumping, I have the registered quicktime 6.0, I know I can do the animations as jpg,s or tga and work them up in premiere but I can,t understand why I can,t do it from max8, I try all the compresor quicktime has and noway, I did it as avi file but the quality as mov is better can anybody tell me what,s going on
Thanks a lot guys
