Rep Power: 0 ![]() | 3d max camera help I Am trying to learn how to use 3d max but i end up always fighting with the camera i cant seem to learn how to use it correctly. In zbrush i have no problem i can rotate the object around really fast and find what i am looking for but in 3d max it seems like the object spins in a big circle instead of in one spot. Maybe i am doing something wrong but currently i use alt+middle mouse button to rotate the object is there any way to make it rotate like in zbrush where the object stays in one place. right now i have to rotate a little bit move the camera with just the middle mouse button and then rotate again and repeat this process many times and i end up in a mess. I don't know after using zbrush for such a long time when i try 3d max it just makes me get mad with the camera because its not doing what i want it to do sometimes i get so far out i cant even zoom back in and when i try to rotate in goes crazy it makes the object go around it big circles. anyways if someone has any tips or something to make it easier like zbrush is what i am looking for. thanks |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | In max you can go down all the way down to the right down corner there you will see a miximize viewport toggel button. the one left of that is the button that shanges how the viewport rotates and such. when you hold down the left mouse button over it you will get 3 choices i prefer the one all the way down. it rotates around the selected verts-polys-objects and so on. just play with it. alsow a big difrence in view control is if you are inn perspective view or user view. that you can change by right clicking inn the uper left corner of the viewport. pleas ask if you have more problems or didnt understand what i ment :)
