Question realism - AudiTT - my new car ;-)

Hi there !
I want your opinion about my actual self-promotion-project of a AudiTT visualisation. It's still at work, therefore there are some issues with it (no background, several optimizations...).
It's made with Rhino, MAX and Vray.
What do you think ?

Well, about the construction : I'm already on the way to write a tutorial about this, it's quite a similar method to the one Thomas Suurland used to do with his new beetle.
I constructed nearly everything in Rhino, then exported with the meshing option (3ds) and re-assembled the model in MAX. After that I take a HDRI map for the lighting and setup the materials. I think the most difficult part for me was not the 3d-Design part, but the lighting and material setup.
I am planning to make a animation with this car and the GI should be fast enough to solve it - this is my aim so far.
I'm still not confident about some materials and the gap width of the car, for it's a bit too perfect. Maybe i'll change it, but it's a lot of work and I want already the next car - an old SAAB 900 turbo16s, the car I possess

Please continue adding comments on what you think could be improved in your opinion, thx:beer:

Very nice, especially the main material.. it is still problem to me, it would be nice to make a good turtorial in materials & lightning. :D
P.S Wheels are not very strong parts of your model...

Thanks sokrates, but IMHO especially the wheels are very well done - it may seem so that they don't look nice because of the lighting - but to be honest: I constructed even the smallest screws, so what's the matter with them, what would you improve ? Thanx for the answer in advance!

I find this hard to say but in a way I agree with sokratas. The sides of the tires themselves look a little misplaced,.. The material looks totally different and when you take a look at where they are supposed to flow into the "roadtouching"-part, it looks like they're not attached. Tire-rim and the rest of the model looks just perfect, but I said that before.

tires

All right, thx dudes, now I can see what you mean, in fact I have a not connected mesh here, this is ment to be replaced by a one-in-all rubber, currently there are two different meshes there, one for the profile and one for the sides...and they are not connected ! So both of you are right, I've already put in on my 'to improve'-list !
:deal:

But as I said before - I hate these tires now - I will spare the modding of them to the total final. Next time I take a usual profile for any tires.:shame:
