Texturing Problems

Hey guy!,

Im having some texturing problems and was woundering if any one could help me out? I've un-wrapped the model...



...but when i render uvw template it comes out black i think it has somtihng to do with the fact that the template is to big to fit in that blue square (as you can tell im rather new to max lol)



any way; if any one knows how to fix this i'd realy appretiate it.

First of all i hope you know that you can scale all your uvw is :) just scale them down to fitt innside the littel blue box down in the corner or just use the pack option then max will pack them for you.

Do you gott any light in your scene?

erm and as for lighting , nope not put that in yet..but that wont effect the uvw will it?
