Rep Power: 0 ![]() | How to make a glow that surrounds an object? I don't know where to ask this .. to texturing or to modeling i think that the glow is a volumetric light but I don't know sure... can someone help me? and one thing.. how can i make an object that emits/project lightning ? (I can add a light in the middle of that object but...) |

| bug moderator | You can add a light in the middle of a object and set the light to ignore the respective object If you have Max5 you can look at the radiosity tutorial You can use videopost with edge glow, but it won't lighten the nearby objects. If you need more deatils about one of the procedures, just ask!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | how to add a glow in max 6 or later are you looking for a just cosmetic glow effect or one that actually produces light and shadows...if it is cosmetic i would say use video post and add a flare or glow to the object that you want to glow...that wold make it look like lets say the glow off of a light bulb..if you are looking for the actuall light with a glow try using volume lighting on the light that might work too..other than that i am not sure how to add a glow...i think video post might be your best bet tho. this only work s for max 6 and later i think...maybe 5.
