Rep Power: 0 ![]() | having real hard time trying to make sand in 3ds max I followed this tutorial for 3ds max for making sand. http://www.maxarea.com/modules.php?n...ticle&sid=2058 I dont speak the languae that was used in that tut, but I just followed the image. this is the final outcome from the tutorial ![]() and this is how mine looks. ![]() mines way too bumpy and it dosetn have that nice soft grainy sand texture like the outcome from the tutorial. What am I doing wroung? Please help me out here. |

| Learning... | First of all it is OVER exposed in lighting....... the bump or displace u used for the ground.... tile it bigger.... for bigger dunes.... add noise for the soft grain....you could mix or mask or just add it... okay i look over tut... i dont read that language also... but what i can see where u missed out was on the noise... check ur noise... also use google or bable fish to translate the site... you might of missed a step... also check your smoke... ur variables ARE WRONG... dont know for shure... |
