Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello Reddman, personally I like to use unwrap uvw. Basically when your model is done, you apply the unwrap uvw modifier, then I pick the polygons that are close to the same angle while under the edit face suboption of the unwrap modifier. Apply either xy or z planar map under the sub object parameters for the unwrap. After the whole object is complete, by the way it can be a long process, I use texporter for map, paint it in photoshop, you can do your bump, spec, and diffuse all there. Then import them into the material library, and apply it to the object. It will all work out greatly. It just takes a long time. The help file doesnt really help in max on this subject. Ive just learned to use it by playing with it. Hope this helps. Anymore questions, just scream. :) |
