BaM - Work in Progress

Hi All,
First off a little bit about me, I'm an artist who has been working in the games industry for just over 2 years. I live in England, and I'm developing a game in my free time. I thought I'd show some examples of the project that I'm working on.

I've been working on the concept, design and documentation of the game on and off for a little under a year. Most of the mechanics of how the game will play have already been set, I initially designed it as a board game, so I have play tested my initial ideas before I started working on the computer.

After recently having a lot more spare time I've had a chance to put a few of the models together. I have tried to style it in a way that I can work on it for several years and not worry that it looks out of date, in essence it is not graphics driven, it will be more character and content driven. I did this because I plan to complete it over the next year or so, my intention is to do all the programming, art and animation myself because I really want it to be an independent production. I have fond memories of the games from the spectrum and C64 period, this is what I'm trying to achieve, small and simple.

At the moment I have the main character (with a few animations) and some of the initial scene in the game, I have sketches for about twenty other characters and I have started working on several of their models.

And also I've got a very small video file of the game running.

You'll have to right click and save as target.

Hi Izmal,

Thanks for the reply! I'm doing all the modelling in 3ds max 5 and rigging is done with character studio.
More updates will be coming shortly, I'm trying to get the landscape finished first, then I think I'll start work on all the characters you'll be able to interact with.

I was so gutted when it got to penalties during the Portugal match, and David Beckhams poor attempt at a penalty, doh!
