Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Rendering in layers ive got a scene i want to render in layers, ive added them to the layers them selves but how do i render the background, moving characters all separatly so i can then put them back together with the shadows all in tact |

| Registered User | You can render to layers or redner selected objects... depends on what you want to separate... if shadows, use layer (in max in render layers) if objects use render selected (for example ;) )

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | if i save them as png file, then in photoshop put one on top of the other, is that the way to do it? so if i have 1000 frames of animation isnt there something that does that for you. sorry if i seem dumb, never reallly used layers before |
