new to max, really need help,

Hi everybody, i have just started using max, all I want to do is textureing(assign materials), and render my models. I've been messing around with Rhino3D for a couple of years or so, but never planed nothing serious or good until just few month ago I started using Flamingo, results were pretty amazing to me at the time and I realy got into modeling, now I am confident in my modeling skills and want to take 3d modeling seriosly, and consider it as possible carrer, but now I realize that it's imposible to get realistic results in flamingo in most cases, flamingo is great for product render, but it practicly can not render full scene, or anything outdoors, or organic(as most of you probably know Rhino has practicly on texturing abilities, and flamingo does't and add any). That's why I decided to move to Max for everything but the modeling part. After Rhino, Max is like a Jungle size of the universe to me. I figured out how to use most of the modeling realy fast but rendering and texturing just leaves me screaming in confusion. I do not know a single person that is interested in 3d modeling in my school or anywhere else, I have no one who can actualy help me, so will some one please mentor me through ICQ (260892605), I just need some one to explaing few thing to me and answer a few questions, I promise it's not going to take long (defenatly not as long as this post). Any help would be greatly apriciated.

when I started it was wierd, I know thousands of tutorials for max, I am a really good web searche, usualy is it's on the net I will find, but I needed stuff that no tutorial covered, like my 3D Max took like 3 minutes to start and I wanted to know how to fix it, also after exporting from rhino parts of my car wouldent show up when rendered, now I know how to fix that.

You're in the right place. When I started out, I obviously didn't know a single thing. I just got max and wanted to use it, but didn't even know how to animate. At school there are two 3dsmax courses, (highschool) they were good, but all the stuff we learnt is extremely basic. You can get all of the lessons on this site. It's great, awesome tutorials and best of all, a wide community of folks that are pros with 3dsmax and even better, most of them,if not all of them are extremely kind. I'm still no pro, u can still see me asking questions around here. But I always get answers. Other sites are everywhere, just search "3dsmax tutorials" or other variations of that. And someone else mentioned the 3d max tutorials that come with it, they're also great.
