Configuration Problem

hey guys...i have a problem in rendering heavy scenes. my current configuration is dat i hv:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2.0GHz
1GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7300GT 512MB gfx card

my doubt is, What shud i increase???? shud i increase my RAM or shud i increase my gfx card????

a computer store i called up, the guy says dat fr 3D sftwrs, a bettr Gfx card is important....

i hv to submit 2 heavy Vray scenes, textured n lightend by nxt thursday Maximum!!!

Please, sum1 ....HEELLPPP

your Ram is quite low. i just upgraded to 4gb and have noticed a improvement.

kkk....actually my motherboard is supportin only 2GB RAM maximum....so mayb i'll hv to chg dat as well......r ye sure the problem is wid RAM n nt GFX card???

probably both to be honest. when i did a large render once just to test things i cound my cpu maxed out (amd 3.2ghz x2) my memory use went through the roof and took 6gb total (3.5gb physical)

hehe, okk.....mite go fr a RAM as ov nw......actually ma vendor gave me 2GB RAM fr testing, its nt givin me much difference,......do ye think upgradin frm 1 to 4GB will show sum improvment???

Ye you should realy gett some more ram. 4g is good but if you run xp 3g i all it will see anyways.

The graphic card aint that important when it comes to rendering. the graphic card is more to keep the perspective windows and the interface fast and clean.

there is two main componens you need to think of when want a stronger rendermachine.

RAM and prosecor power.
